Ride to Sunrise is back! In appreciation, we are offering a discounted rate for all returning participants from the last Ride to Sunrise (2013). Please indicate this as your preferred category during registration. Safe cycling remains as an important aspect of Ride to Sunrise. We seek your understanding that sign-ups will be capped to maintain the safety of our participants.

You will be embarking on a unique ride with RTS 2015 as each and every one of our participants will be cycling for a cause in support of the People’s Association’s President’s Challenge 2015. Join us (or thank you for joining us) on this meaningful journey as we ride towards a more inclusive community and a better future!

About

First organised in 2011, Ride to Sunrise started as a platform for community bonding when night cycling started gaining popularity in Singapore. In 2012, there were several high profile traffic accidents involving cyclists. This sparked the evolution of RTS from an event that facilitated community bonding to one that advocates safe cycling. In 2013, the RTS organising committee wanted to reinforce safe cycling and inculcate safe cycling etiquette. For example, participants will be required to ride on park connectors when they are available. When there is no park connector, they will be required to ride safely (e.g. keeping to the leftmost lane).

The Ride to Sunrise Organising Committee is made up of like-minded individuals passionate about volunteerism and interested to foster relationships with the community. We are volunteers from all walks of life connected through activities with People’s Association Youth Movement (PAYM) and it’s Youth Executive Committees (YECs). As a team, we want to organise a fun and meaningful night cycling activity for the community. Working with the Safe Cycling Task Force, we also hope to promote and educate the community about road safety and positive cycling habits.
